This is the privacy policy for wrdlcheat.com. It explains what data the site collects, what it doesn’t, and what third parties do when you load a page.

Today, in plain language

wrdlcheat itself collects nothing about you. Our own code sets no cookies, uses no localStorage or sessionStorage, and has no accounts, logins, or forms. Every page is rendered server-side from the same daily cache file and served identically to every visitor.

Two third parties do run on the site, and they are the honest answer to “what happens when I load a page”:

• Google AdSense.The AdSense loader script is present on every page. No ads are being served yet — the site is not an approved AdSense publisher — but loading the script does contact Google advertising domains and does allow Google to set at least one third-party cookie on doubleclick.net (a probe named test_cookie, used to check whether your browser accepts cookies at all). Once ads are actually approved and running, the fuller picture below applies.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. Enabled at the Cloudflare edge, not by our code. It is cookieless and reports aggregate page views — it does not set identifiers or track you between sites.

Beyond that, your browser makes an ordinary HTTP request and the server returns HTML. Cloudflare sits between you and the server, may set a security cookie for bot mitigation, and logs request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) to run their CDN — that data is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy, not this one.

There are no accounts, no email signups, no contact forms, no comments, no submissions. There is nothing for the site to collect.

What changes when advertising activates

wrdlcheat is intended to be supported by Google AdSense. The loader script is installed, but the site has not been approved as a publisher, so no ads are served and no revenue is earned. We are not promising a date. If and when approval comes through:

• AdSense will set its own cookies (named __gads, __gpi, and others) to serve ads and prevent the same ad from being shown repeatedly.
• A consent management banner — Google’s Funding Choices — will appear for visitors in regions where one is required (the EU, UK, certain US states, and others). The banner will let you accept or reject personalized advertising.
• Cookie data is collected and processed by Google, not by wrdlcheat directly. Google’s data practices are described in their advertising privacy policy.

When this happens, this Privacy page will be updated to reflect the new state explicitly.

What we will never do

• Sell your data. There is nothing to sell, and there will be nothing to sell when ads activate.
• Build user profiles. The site doesn’t have user accounts and isn’t planning to.
• Email you. You can email us at [email protected], but we won’t initiate.
• Track you across sites. We don’t have the infrastructure to do this even if we wanted to.

Your rights

Today, since wrdlcheat collects no personal data, there is no data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you live somewhere that requires a formal “no data” attestation (for example, a CCPA “right to know” request), email [email protected] and we’ll respond confirming the same.

When AdSense activates, your rights regarding ad-cookie data are managed through Google’s tools and the consent banner described above.

Children

wrdlcheat is intended for adults and older teenagers who play Wordle. The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children — but if you are a parent who believes your child has somehow interacted with this site in a way that requires our attention, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

When the site changes how it handles data — most notably when AdSense activates — this policy will be updated. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. For material changes, the change will be summarized in this section so returning visitors can see what’s new without re-reading the entire page.
